The Copy Booking feature allows users to create future bookings for the same guest without having to key in the traveller and booking details from scratch. This helps to save users’ time and also ensures the same traveller details are used across the bookings.
A common use case is when a frequent traveller at your hotel would like you to make advanced reservations for all his upcoming trips. Hotels save time by just copying the guest’s existing booking and updating the check-in and check-out dates for the future.
This functionality is also useful for the extension of stays of guests who had originally booked via a third party channel. By copying the existing booking and amending the check-in and check-out dates, it gets recorded as a manual booking and hotels do not need to pay commission to the third party or ZUZU for it.
Examples:
A. Steward booked a family room type for two nights (from 15 April to 17 April 2026) through DirectWebsitePrepay. He wants to extend his stay for one more night. Users can use the Copy Booking feature and update the necessary details for the new reservation. In this scenario, update the details as follows:
- Check-in date (22 April) and Check-out date (24 April)
- Booking channel: HotelOfflinePostpay
- Room number/name: 101
- Guess count: 2

B. Steward is a regular guest at Property A, usually staying from the 15th to 17th of each month. He always makes his reservation through phone call and prefers to pay at check-out. Users can use the Copy Booking feature for his future stays on the 15th and 17th of every month.

The Copy Booking button can be found on the Booking Card.
- Open a booking you want to copy, then click Edit and select 'Copy Booking'.
- A Manual booking entry will automatically appear.
Copy Booking functionality duplicates the following information:
- Traveller details: first and last name, email, mobile number, identification number, date of birth.
- Booking details: check-in and check-out dates, room count, room type, rate plan.
After filling in all mandatory fields, choose one of the available check-in options. Since this copied booking will be used for future arrival, the only option available is 'Save for Future Check-in'.

A new booking for arrival on 15 April 2026 has been successfully created. Some adjustments have also been made:
- The guest has extended their stay by one more night at the property (15 April - 17 April).
- The room rate for bookings made through HotelOfflinePostpay is different from the OTA (DirectWebsitePrepay).
- There is an outstanding amount that the hotel must collect before the guest checks-out.
