Overview

Alongside our revenue management service, ZUZU provides hotel partners with a proprietary software called Hotel Management System (HMS).


HMS delivers 5 different functions today and is used by both hotel partners and internal ZUZU teams.



Property Management System (PMS) Capabilities

HMS enables front-office capabilities and facilitates management of other hotel operations to create seamless guest experiences. These include:

  • Reservations management.
  • Room assignment.
  • Guest check-in and check-out.
  • Traveller charges and payments.
  • Channel charges and payments.
  • Inventory and rates control.
  • Housekeeping.
  • Accounting.
  • Reporting.


As a cloud-based SaaS (software as a service) PMS, HMS overcomes limitations of more traditional PMSs which are usually installed on desktops, further automating processes, reducing maintenance costs and increasing accessibility.


Channel Management Capabilities

HMS incorporates channel management functionality, allowing direct updates of availability and rates to online channels (OTAs, hotel website etc.) it is connected to, and retrieves reservations from these channels in real-time.


This allows hotels to:

  • Sell on as many channels as possible without risk of overbooking.
  • Avoid channel-specific inventory allocations.
  • Avoid spending excessive time on logging into multiple OTA extranets individually to make the same updates.
  • Maintain rate parity across channels.
  • Do away with manual entry of online bookings into PMS.


Revenue Management System (RMS) Capabilities

HMS also serves as a RMS, automating many day-to-day revenue management tasks. Today, HMS pulls in market intelligence data and performance data that help define comprehensive pricing, promotions and distribution strategies. Hotel occupancy and competitor rates are monitored round-the-clock so that hotels do not miss out on revenue maximization opportunities.


With automation of pricing updates, ZUZU revenue managers are able to spend more time working with hotels and OTAs to explore new and creative tactics to further drive performance.
